Description: The project was to design and build the head offices and the Station of the Police Department in Heraklion, the capital of Crete. We designed a 4storey airy building, using the principles of the bioclimatic architecture, which was absolutely necessary for an area with aprrox. 320 sunny days per year. The metal blinds, the ventilated façade and the use of local stones in a regulated combination, presented a monumental building able to act as a landmark for the city of Heraklion.
