Title: Renovation and Refurbishment of St. Dimitrios Church on the island of Limnos

Client: Church of Mytilene and Limnos

Description: The project consisted of 3 parts. The first was the strengthening and supporting of the structure. The second was the renovation of the interiors and exterior façade incl. windows, canopies, decorative elements, frames, floors & stairs. The third and final step was the refurbishment of the final overlaps, the wooden structured doors, the external gallery and the roof. The implementation of the study was a step by step interference in a listed monument, while preserving the necessary protection measures. This edifice was constructed in the beginning of the 20th century and thus our final design study respected the traditional design methods.
